Resurrection of the original Alien 3

This November sees the publication of an unique comic series, William Gibson's Alien 3 will see what Gibson whose reputation as one of the pioneers of the Science Fiction sub genre Cyber Punk had intended for the third film in the film series that featured the chest busters. However the script was passed over thereby leading to one of the most infamous productions in the last 3 decades of Hollywood history. Vincent Ward a director of somewhat avant grade films landed the job of Director/Writer. Ward had came up with the idea of setting the film on a wooden planet populated by monks. Just as sets for the film were being built Ward was fired and his script was heavily rewritten with the monks being replaced by convict. Replacing Ward as director was David Fincher whose prior work was made up of Pop Promos and TV Commercial. The finished film was released to a muted response in 1992 and Fincher (who has gone on to make such films as Se7en, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo and Gone Girl) rarely talks about Alien 3. The forthcoming offers a chance of what could have been.
