Clive Swift (1936-2019)
The death has been announced of the actor Clive Swift. Best known as Richard the much put upon husband of Hynciath Bucket. Swift's career theatre career include spending 10 years with the Royal Shakespeare Company. His film work include 2 he made with 2 of the great titans of film making. He appeared in Alfred Hitchcock's London set serial killer thriller Frenzy. Clive appeared in what would be David Lean's final film A Passage to India. Another film Clive Swift appeared in the Arthurian epic Excalibur which saw him appear with such future big names as Liam Neeson, Helen Mirren, Patrick Stewart and Gabriel Byrne. Clive is one of an number of actors who appeared both the orgianal 1963-1989 and current runs of Doctor Who.. He guest starred in the 1985 story Revelation of the Daleks and then made another gust appearance in the 2007 Xmas special Voyage of the Damned.
