2019 Oscars results

This year's winner of the grand prize of Best Picture was Green Book, the story of an African-American classical pianist and his white chauffeur. Mahersala Ali who played the role of the pianist won Best Supporting Actor. The film that took away the most awards on the night was Rock bio-pic Bohemian Rhapsody with star Rami Malek taking Best Actor for his portrayal as Freddie Mercuray. The biggest shock of the night came when Olivia Colman won Best Actress for her role in The Favourite beating Glenn Close who some reckon would win an elusive Oscar for the film The Wife. The Oscars as ever have given a lot of talking points for years to come.
