From The Chase to The Doctor

Bradley Walsh currently best known as the host of game show The Chase has been rumoured to be lined up to be the companion of Jodie Whittaker's The Doctor. If confirmed this would be another breaking of Who traditions as companions tended tended to be young females, Walsh is 57 while Whittaker is 35. This would not be Walsh's first involvement in the world as he had appeared in spin off show The Sarah Jane Adventures. As for game show hosts appearing in Doctor Who, Nicholas Parsons who hosted Sale of the Century between 1971 and 1983 appeared in 1989 story The Curse of Fenric.
