End of the panels?

In a speech at the Edinburgh Television Festival BBC entertainment commissioning editor Pinki Chambers has said that the BBC may cutting down on panel shows. Panel shows have been a staple of the BBC for the last 2 decades but ratings have been decline for them, with the biggest of them all Have I Got New for You only getting over 4 million viewers. The viewing public will just have to see what take their place.
