Who on Sunday

Press reports suggest that the next series of Doctor Who will be going out on Sunday as opposed to it's usual Saturday showing. The new series featuring the much discussed casting of Jodie Whitaker in the role of The Doctor is expected to air this Autumn. Some have suggested that the move is to give the show a fixed time because Saturdays are beholden to Strictly Come Dancing which has editions that vary in length. This is would not be the first time Doctor Who has not gone out on Saturday, Peter Davison time on the show saw it go out on weekdays as a way to see what would be the best slot for an new soap opera (Eastenders) and Sylvester McCoy had to face Coronation Street in a move seen by some as a ruse by unfriendly BBC management to justify it's axing. Many people are intrigued if this rumour is true.
