Awkward Charlie

In 1986 a special edition of (Old Grey) Whistle Test was devoted to The Rolling Stones as they filmed a promo for the song One Hit to the Body. Host David Hepworth interviews drummer Charlie Watts in what could be called be a rather testy interview. The interview took place during what Watts has admitted a mid life crisis of drink and drugs addiction. When Hepworth asks about Watts Big Band side project he calls self indulgence. Watts then bemoans the promo making process as mainly sitting around doing noting but then he concludes that pretty much sums up his time with The Stones eliciting a large laugh from Hepworth.
