Morse roads

in an upcoming episode of Endeavour will feature the future Inspector Morse checking into n a road side motel in the fictional town of Kings Oaks. This is a reference to Crossroads the somewhat derided soap opera. One of the main complaints being some what stodgy production values, one case being a piece of sound recording equipment dropping onto the studio floor though one of the actors picked and put it into a bag she was carrying. Crossroads came to an end after 24 years in 1988 a year after the first episode of Inspector Morse was broadcast. In 2001 there was a revival of Crossroads but that lasted only 2 years with the final scene being a character waking up from a dream that was basically the whole 2 years!
