Newspaper consolidation part II

A few months after it was first reported the Trinity Mirror Group has bought all the various publications owned by Richard Desmond. Titles include the newspapers The Daily Express and The Daily Star and the magazine OK!. One of the intriguing ways in that the takeover will affect those titles is in political out view, The Daily Express is known as one of the most right wing in terms in viewpoint. However there was a brief period under pre Desmond owner Lord Horlick that it was quite sympathetic towards the Labour Party. As the whole newspaper industry is facing trouble what happens next will be of great interest.
