Perhaps one of the most iconic characters in British soap opera history was the lovable Benny as played by Paul Henry in Crossroads. The character maintained his child like outlook of life despite being at one point being falsely accused of murder. The character's last appearance going up a ladder to put Christmas decorations up in 1987. He was not spoken. seen, or heard of when the soap ended in 1988. The character did not return for the short lived revial in 2001.
