More skipped TOTP

As I have written before there are episodes of  Top of the Pops that are not shown for BBC4 various reasons, The most common cause being those presented by either Jimmy Savile and Dave Lee Travis other wise known as the Yewtree 2. Savile whose unpunished crimes caused the operation to come into place and Travis who was convicted because of it. This week an episode is skipped because it features a performance by Gary Glitter. A huge star in the early 1970's Glitter was convicted in the UK of sex offence before being serving a prison sentence for simaller offences in Vietnam. Due to Operation Yewtree Glitter was charged with more offences in the UK for which he was convicted and given a 16 year sentence.
