The Eagle is unimpressed

One person who has expressed the view that they are not impressed with the sucess of Team GB at this Winter Olympics. Eddie 'The Eagle' Edwards declared in an interview with BBC Radio 2 that money should not be spent to compete with the Swiss, the Austrians etc because the UK is not a Winter nation. Edwards shot to fame from coming last at both of the Ski Jumping events he competed at the 1988 Calgary Winter Olympics. Such was the impact he made Edwards found himself on US chart shows appearing with the likes of Burt Reynolds
