The fall of Big Brother?

Early today there had been tabloid reports that Big Brother was being axed. However Endemol the production company that makes the show and Viacom owners of Channel 5 who show both later dismissed the claims. They both said that they were in discussion on an new contract. One has to wonder if this piece of price haggling to lower the costs of the show.
