 The trailer for the new Brad Pitt film F1 has been released. The film is set in the world of formula one racing. The trailer plays out to the Fleetwood Mac song The Chain which as many people know was used as the theme for the BBC coverage of the sport. F1 comes out later in the year.

 As I have written before an number of subjects in the jackpot round of Pointless seems be ignored again and again. Yesterday however one was picked,Flash Gordon was picked. However the contestants answers were all wrong.

Forty years of the square

 This week marks forty years since the start of BBC soap opera Eastenders. It has seen storylines centred teenage pregnancy,divorce, AIDS and murder. Nowadays Eastenders  is no longer the  ratings titan it was with some presiding the show's demise. We shall see in another forty years time.

 On the most recent edition of Pointless contestants were asked to name an national team that played the Football World Cup two or more times. The first contestant gave the answer Charlton Athletic which is a local club team in London.

 A while back I wrote about how an number of questions were being avoided. Couple of weeks later one about the Duke of Wellington was picked. Now Belgian Jazz and Pop was chosen to no great success.
