 Starting tonight on Channel Five is the second series of Dalgeish. The screen version of the Adam Dalgeish novels by P. D. James. The series is set in the 1970s. However this notthe novels have been brought to the screen for eexample Death of an Expert Witness was set in the year it was broadcast,1983.

No laughs tonight

 The BBC 4 archive comedy slot is being given a rest while the World Snooker Championship is on. 

King and Bond

 It has been announced that an new James Bond novel will be published. On His Majesty Secret Service will come out a couple of days before the coronation of King Charles III. It is written by Charlie Higson who has written an number of Young James Bond novels,though Higson has said this book will be more adult.

 The new version of Great Expectations drew 3.4 million viewers on BBC1 for it's not first episode. I got bad reviews from 2 completely different publications, the right wing Daily Mail and the left wing New Statesman.

 Starting tonight on BBC1 is an new version of the Dickens classic Great Expectations. This was written for the screen by Peaky Blinders creator Steven Knight. It has already caused a  fuss by making additions to the text. One is that Miss Havisham ( Played by Olivia Colman) is an opium addict. How audiences react remains to be seen.
